Death warrants issued in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: District and Sessions Judge Habibullah Amir on Friday issued death warrants for a convict in a triple murder case. The convict, Muhammad Siddique, will be hanged in the Central Jail on March 30. Ladhewala Warraich police had registered a case against Muhammad Siddique on September 12, 1995, for killing Muhammad Saleem, Salma and his daughter. He was awarded death sentence by a court. His appeals were rejected by the Lahore High Court and the Supreme Court. His mercy petition was also rejected by the president.
