Rally held in Quetta to mark Pakistan Day
Two-year extension in services of COAS demanded
QUETTA: A rally was held in front of the press club here in connection with the Pakistan Day on Wednesday.
Speakers on the occasion said March 23 is very important day because a resolution adopted on this day in 1940 resulted in the creation of Pakistan. They vowed to stand shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces for strengthening and betterment of Pakistan.
The rally was taken out under the auspices of Harnai Khost Coal Mines to express solidarity with other Pakistanis on the occasion of Pakistan Day and in support of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif.
The speakers said the rulers did not deliver in the way which they should have. They commended General Raheel Sharif for leading the Army towards victory in the difficult operation Zarb-e-Azb. They also commended Rangers operation in Karachi against terrorists.
The speakers said the country faces internal and external dangers. They said the successful operation against terrorists revived the hopes of the country people of return of prosperity and peaceful environment. They also demanded two-year extension for the army chief.
