‘Fake’ case against colleague
Chairmen of nine UCs warn of staging demos

FAISALABAD: Nine chairmen of different union councils have condemned registration of a ‘false’ case against UC-58 Chairman Mian Iqbal Anjum.
In a joint statement here on Tuesday, UCs chairmen Ch Muhammad Iqbal, Ch Pervaiz Iqbal Kamoka, Rana Yasir, Amir Kamboh, Majeedul Sharif, Rana Israr Khan, Azam Gujjar, Raja Saleem Abid, Akhwas Qureshi and Haq Nawaz Ghaffari demanded the police high-ups quash the case against their colleague otherwise they along with their voters would stage demonstrations. They alleged that the Wasa officials had got a fake case registered against Iqbal Anjum. They appealed to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to look into the matter.
Girl student abducted in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: Two car riders abducted a girl student of the Government College University Faisalabad on Tuesday.
Zeeshan and his friend allegedly abducted the MBA student and took her to an unknown place. Gulberg police have registered a case and started investigation.
