Eight people die in separate road accidents in Khairpur
KHAIRPUR: Eight persons died in separate road accidents in Rasoolabad and Thatta on Friday. Four members of a family were killed in a road accident on the National Highway near Rasoolabad. A man his wife and two daughters were killed when a trailer collided with their motorcycle.
Those killed included Qalander Bukhsh Burdi, 30, his wife Hidan Burdi and daughters Tasleema, 4, and Majeedan Burdi, 2. The Rasoolabad police on getting information reached the spot and took the bodies in custody and brought them to Hingorja Hospital.
Police also took the custody of the trailer and locked up the driver. The bodies were later handed over to the relatives after completion of medico-legal formalities.According to another report, four persons were killed and 10 others injured in a collision between two vehicles near the Ghagar railway track in Thatta on Friday.
A speeding Karachi-bound passenger van banged into a van coming from opposite direction which resulted in the death of four passengers and injuries to 10 others.The bodies and injured were shifted to a hospital in Thatta for medico-legal formalities and treatment. The doctors said six injured were in critical condition.
The identity of the victims could not be ascertained immediately. The deceased belonged to Badin, police said. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
