PML-N councillors flay anti-encroachment campaign
From Our Correspondent
CHAKWAL: The newly-elected councillors of the PML-N have rejected and flayed anti-encroachment campaign here saying that it will disturb traders.
They flayed the campaign during an emergent meeting held at the residence of nominated chairman Sajjad Ahmed on Tuesday. PML-N City president Shahid Abbasi, Tehsil secretary general Kafait Hussain, Qazi Ghulam Abbas, Ahmad Khan and successful and losing candidates of the PML-N from Municipal Committee Chakwal attended the meeting. The participants of the meeting expressed their resentment over anti-encroachment drive started by the district administration especially to retrieve state land from land grabbers. The councillors alleged that the anti-encroachment drive was launched against those traders who supported the PML-N. It was decided that reservations against the drive would be forwarded to MNA Begum Iffat Liaqat and MPA Liaqat Ali Khan.
