Rally in favour of IUB VC
From Our Correspondent
BAHAWALPUR: Hundreds of the Islamia University Bahawalpur teachers and employees on Thursday staged a demonstration outside the university auditorium to express solidarity with IUB VC Dr Qaisar Mushtaq against Punjab Minister for Cooperatives Malik Muhammad Channar, who allegedly confined him in his office washroom after he refused to meet him on March 7.
The protesting employees and teachers were holding banners and placards. Later, the IUB issued a handout, stating that the teachers condemned the March 7 incident and vowed that sanctity of the educational institution could never be compromised.
