Officers asked to finalise pension matters timely

JHANG: District Accounts Officer Fazal Elahi has asked the officers concerned to complete pension and other matters within the stipulated time.
He said this while chairing a meeting of the officers of various departments, including Accounts, Pension, Buildings and Roads, here on Wednesday. District Accounts Officer-II Malik Altaf also participated in the meeting. The meeting also discussed payment matters relating to development programmes of the district, cases of pension and departmental salaries and non-salaries budgets. DAO Fazal Elahi directed that the service files and service books of female employees and non-gazetted officials of all government departments should be disposed of at priority basis. The DAO directed that all possible steps should be taken to improve disposal timing of pension cases and completion of service record and books especially of non-gazetted officials. The DAO directed the heads of various departments to review the progress and performance of auditors and a detail report should be presented in the next quarterly meeting. He asked the AAOs to ensure strict implementation of financial rules before clearing of payments of contactors. District Accounts Officer-II Malik Altaf said service matters of teachers and other officials of the Education Department were being disposed of in a very limited time.
