PkSF activists accuse Mardan varsity of corruption, demand inquiry
MARDAN: Dozens of activists of the Pakhtun Students Federation (PkSF) at Abdul Wali Khan University staged a protest rally here against the administration of the varsity, accusing it of corruption.
The rally was led by Sabir Khan, divisional president and Lakhkar Khan, general secretary of PkSF, Abdul Wali Khan University. The protesters chanted slogans against the university administration and demanded an inquiry into the alleged corruption in the university.
Addressing the protesters outside the Mardan Press Club, Sabir Khan and Lakhkar Khan alleged that a girl student of B.A took examination for improvement, but she got 241 marks
and was placed in 3rd grade. They alleged that the controller of examination violated the rules and regulations and granted her 7 marks in rechecking while under the rules there was no rechecking and recounting in the case of improvement.
They accused the provost of the university of living at girls hostel, which was against the law and Pakhtun traditions. They asked the National Accountability Bureau, Federal Investigation Agency and other agencies to conduct inquiry into the wrongdoings.
