Hockey technical officials workshop from today

KARACHI: A four-day workshop for technical officials will commence at the National Hockey Stadium here from Tuesday (today).

Col (retd) Sikandar Ghumman, Tournament Director of the ongoing National Junior Hockey Championship, will conduct the workshop. He will be assisted by Rashad Mahmood Butt.

PHF’s director development and domestic Olympian Naveed Alam will supervise the workshop, which aims to improve the proficiency of the technical officials associated with the PHF.

The purpose is to raise the standard of technical officials in accordance with the rules and regulations of FIH and the PHF. The PHF has appointed Shafiq Bhatti as coordinator. Muhammad Yaqoob will assist him.

PHF secretary Shahbaz Ahmed Senior, Director General Brig (retd) Musarrat Ullah Khan and Director General Sports Board Punjab Usman Anwar will be the guest speakers.
