5 bootleggers held with wine

OKARA: Sadar Depalpur police on Sunday arrested five bootleggers and recovered wine from them in separate incidents here.

The police arrested Umar Daraz and recovered 25 litres brewed wine from him while Muhammad Javed of Khoh Haji Falk Sherwala was arrested with 16 litres wine. The police nabbed Muhammad Arshad with 10 litres brewed wine while Abdur Razzaq of Dhup Sari village was arrested with 10 litres wine. The police also arrested Muhammad Mudassar of Rathoranwala village and recovered 10 litres wine from him. The police have registered separate cases.

SHOS SHUFFLED: DPO Faisal Rana on Sunday transferred and posted various SHOs in the district.

The DPO appointed Sajjad Dogar as the SHO in the A-Division police station while Abdullah Pasha was transferred to Sadar police station. Mehr Yousaf was appointed as the SHO in City Renala Khurd police station while Aziz Cheema was posted as the SHO in the Mandi Ahmadabad police station. Likewise, SI Muhammad Ashraf was appointed as the SHO in the Cantt police station while Kalb-e-Abbas had been appointed as the SHO in the Sadar Renala Khurd police station. The DPO also suspended Inspector Malik Tariq Awan and Muhammad Ali Chadhar.
