JHANG: The Communication and Works secretary has ordered an inquiry under the Punjab Employees, Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act (PEEDA) against District Officer (Buildings) Abdul Jalil Tahir, having additional charge of the EDO (W&S).
According to a letter SODII(C&W) 12-03/16 issued by C&W Secretary Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmad, Provincial Highway Circle, Sahiwal, Superintending Engineer Anwar Ali Malik has been appointed as the inquiry officer.
The C&W secretary vide para 2 and 6 of his letter has directed the inquiry officer to conduct an inquiry and proceed against the accused on the charges of inefficiency, misconduct and corruption reported by the Jhang DCO. The inquiry officer has been further directed to submit its report and recommendations in 60 days. According to the para 4 of the letter, the DDO (Buildings) has been appointed as the department representative.
