Rulers afraid of NAB’s free working: Siraj
LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq said present and former rulers were afraid of their accountability therefore they were restricting the free working of the NAB.
History was a testimony that all rulers had misused the accountability institutions for their own interests, but when trapped they levelled accusations against the institutions, he said this while addressing a meeting of the party officials and delegations on Monday.
He said if NAB had been allowed to work freely the corruption would not have touched the skies. He asked who allowed the NAB to release the plunderers of billions of rupees by recovering only ten percent under some plea bargain adding it paved the way for institutionalised corruption in every department.
He warned the people that for ensuring security and solidarity of the country, corrupt rulers must be thrown out of the power corridors.
