I am an old reader and as far as I remember, during the time of my readership, Us always entertained me with ‘The Green Room’. I even remember the time when there were separate pages for movies and music! But since past few weeks, you have not run ‘The Green Room’. Is the section gone forever like Chachi chatters, The Rant, Roving Eye - some of your sections I used to love before? I sincerely hope that’s not the case.

Us is becoming too serious! I am a young guy and I want to read stuff that is entertaining. For information and stuff, I attend my college classes online. So, please, give Us readers a break and stop publishing articles on research and education and stuff. Please give us Hackschool like stories instead of useless info on scientific and historical stuff that we don’t need.

Hey Fasih, we cater to a readership with varied tastes, and that’s why our content is diverse. Hope you understand.
A reader’s advice…
The current situation is taking its toll not only on the physical health of people but on our mental health as well. The last 10 months have been a trying time for me because I like to go out, meet people and do things with friends. However, the physical activity was something that drove me crazy till a suggestion from a cousin helped me overcome my depression. Ed, I would like to share it with fellow Us readers, and I know this is something they may have read about but coming from someone their age may help them. I live an apartment without a compound, so there was no place to exercise for me. So I took my cousin’s advice and turned my drawing room into a place where we could just do anything: we dance, we found videos on YouTube that suited us and now work out for half an hour daily. And, once a day, we hold prayers with all family members present. It’s helped my mother who had become severely depressed and my siblings are also enjoying this a lot. Doing things together has brought us closer. I strongly advise you all out there to do that; Covid is here to stay for a while and we should be strong if we are to survive it without any harm.

Narrated Anas (R.A):
The Prophet (S.A.W) said, ‘Allah will say to that person of the (Hell) Fire who will receive the least punishment, ‘If you had everything on the earth, would you give it as a ransom to free yourself (i.e. save yourself from this Fire)?’ He will say, ‘Yes.’ Then Allah will say, ‘While you were in the backbone of Adam, I asked you much less than this, i.e. not to worship others besides Me, but you insisted on worshipping others besides me.’
