As we continue to determine just how massive events like Solis Festival can be improved so that no one ever goes through what many did at its last edition, music fans mustn’t fear.

Several interesting and potentially safer live music events are coming their way and that, too, this weekend.

Apart from the Strings-Shamoon Ismail show, presented by Salt Arts, which is scheduled to take place in Karachi on February 22 (Saturday), another edition of Oscillations PK is coming up in Karachi as well, also this Saturday.

Titled ‘Oscillations III @ 432’, the electronic music event will feature live performances from SUNRAZ, Alien Panda Jury and Tollcrane x TMPST. Scheduled to begin at 8: 30 pm, the live event will take place at Club 432; for more information about the venue, head to their Instagram page (be.at.432).

While Karachi hosts Oscillations III and a Salt Arts presentation, Islamabad will play host to gig(s) featuring the still legendary Mekaal Hasan Band on February 21, 22 and 23.

Curated by Natasha Humera Ejaz, in collaboration with Black Box Sounds, it will also feature singer-songwriter/electronic artist Natasha Noorani opening for the Mekaal Hasan Band (MHB) and the delicious sounds of Natasha Humera Ejaz, who is also one of the opening acts. Both artists have enough material to their credit with Natasha Noorani’s Munaasib and Natasha Humera Ejaz’s Till The End of Time, representing some of their best work. MHB, of course, has three records (Sampooran, Saptak, Andholan) to their name with a fourth one in the making. Islamabad and Karachi are in for a beautiful weekend of diverse music.
