December Fest to hit the capital city next month

Black Box Sounds, the organisers of Mad Decent Block Party (MDBP) 2018 - that took place in Islamabad earlier this year - have another event coming up. After the roaring success of MDBP that featured a carefully curated line-up of international artists such as Diplo’s Major Lazer outfit, Valentino Khan and Chrome Sparks and local music names such as Shamoon Ismail and SNKM among others, the upcoming event is titled December Fest.

Set to take place on December 16, it has a strong artist line-up much like its preceding event as it also includes both local and international artists.

Among those who will take the stage include names like Chrome Sparks, who also played at Mad Decent Block Party in Pakistan this February. Aussie artist What So Not will headline the event. SNKM, Talal Qureshi, Adil Omar, Turhan James, DJ Barrister and (Natasha) Humera Ejaz will also play at December Fest.

Given how many people had turned up for Mad Decent Block Party (in thousands) it would be wise for the organisers to have multiple stages to utilize both the space and keep the event from becoming an overcrowded mess. It is also good to see that Chrome Sparks is returning and home boys Talal Qureshi and Adil Omar will also be taking the stage, the latter of whom has released a full-length album and a film called Transcendence. Both Talal and Adil also form SNKM so it’ll be good to see their combined incredible energy and passion onstage again. Some artists will prove to be wild cards but that’s the mysterious thing about such events. Who will present the best set, time will certainly tell.
