Music producer Rudoh (Bilal Nasir Khan), who is also an audio engineer and the co-founder of music collective Forever South, started in 2012 with Dynoman (Haamid Rahim) and represented Pakistan in Bangkok just last week, before moving on to Kuala Lumpur for another show. Rudoh loves “making beats” and is one of those artists who defy genre.

On October 6, Rudoh played a show called Welcome to Soundistan, which also featured artists from Thailand and India at the Safe Room in Bangkok. The Soundistan event also featured short films from India. Having played the show in Bangkok, Rudoh is now heading to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where he is scheduled to perform at the Kawan Kawan Jamboree event on October 13 alongside a host of other artists from countries such as Thailand and United Kingdom, among others.

Another exceptionally talented member of Karachi’s creative scene that exists, despite the somewhat fragile realities of the maximum city, Alien Panda Jury also represented Pakistan and made his Thailand debut earlier this year with a Soundistan event where he played a live set at an event called Soundistan x Tun Ten at The Safe Room.

As for Rudoh, he seems to be having a terrific year, with a set featured on Third World Radio, and also having performed in Berlin, Germany this August for a Border Movement showcase event.
