Model turned actors Sadaf Kanwal and Amna Ilyas recently appeared on Tonite With HSY and, rightly so, this particular episode caused quite a stir on social media. The two women didn’t just make fun of their colleagues (Saheefa Jabbar Khattak, Sabeeka Imam, Rabia Butt) and passed judgmental remarks on them but Sadaf also went on to comment on the #MeToo movement. And this is where she crossed the limit.

Asserting that she has never been a victim of sexual harassment of any sort, Sadaf shared, “You know aap ke saath MeToo jab ho, tab boldo. Baad mai aap ko yaad araha hai MeToo (One should speak up about it when it happens).”

Perhaps, she was hinting at the Ali Zafar-Meesha Shafi controversy, stressing that if it ever happened to her, she would say at that very moment. “Why are you being reminded of it later? I think when it happens, say it. If #MeToo ever happens with me I will say it and I won’t say it on social media, I will tell you,” she said on the show.

Taking a note of Sadaf’s insensitive remark, Meesha Shafi took to Twitter and wrote, “Strong eyebrows…do not a strong backbone make. Pfffft.”

Sadaf has got thick eyebrows that the model loves to flaunt. There couldn’t be a better response to her than what Meesha has said. We hope this sends a strong message to not just Sadaf but all others who don’t think before speaking.
