As social media continues to be a major influencer in all fields of work, including the entertainment industry, far too often things circulate with the speed of light. It can result in backlash and criticism for those involved.

The recent target in this regard is actor Saba Qamar, whose recent photo shoot was leaked online and didn’t go down well with those who saw it. This resulted in harsh remarks for the actor who tends to not pay heed to such reactions.

However, some of her friends and colleagues in the industry recently came to her defense via their social media posts.

Adnan Siddiqui, who starred with Saba in popular TV serial Maat, took to social media and shared that he is very upset with how people are treating this whole issue. He wrote: “Came through what’s being called BTS images of my colleague and friend Saba Qamar’s recently done photoshoot which is spreading on social media like wildfire, I’m deeply saddened by this act, this is not us and we shouldn’t take pride in it in any manner! I totally condemn this and wouldn’t want to highlight the name of the man behind it but I’m not going to work with him or anything associated with him ever!”

Similarly, Osman Khalid Butt, Saba’s co-star in the recently concluded drama serial Baaghi, also came forward in support of her. He has always been very vocal against statements that humiliate women in any way.

“Just heard about the all-too-familiar misogynistic, repulsive rhetoric that’s swept the nation once BTS pictures from Saba’s photoshoot were leaked (WITHOUT her consent),” he shared, adding, “For the love of God, stop looking for every excuse to drag your icons down. STOP sharing these images/videos and stop commenting on them. If you want to speak out, speak out against the jahalat of whoever did this just for social media infamy.”
