Aamir Khan’s Dangal not only generated record breaking numbers in India but also became one of the 20 highest-grossing movies in the history of China. While this wasn’t the first time for Aamir Khan, as his previous film PK also raked in large amount of money at the Chinese box office, the latest reports suggest that Secret Superstar joins the league and stands ahead of Dangal.

While this wasn’t the first time for Aamir Khan, as his previous film PK also raked in large amount of money at the Chinese box office, the latest reports suggest that Secret Superstar joins the league and stands ahead of Dangal.
Renowned Indian film analyst, Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to announce the film’s success.
“Aamir Khan scores yet again in China,” he tweeted. “Secret Superstar debuts at No. 1 spot at China box office and collects a whopping $ 6.79 million (43.35cr) on Friday. Opening day numbers are higher than Dangal there. Sensational!”
Starring the young yet very talented Zaira Waseem, Secret Superstar has collected more money than Dangal on its opening day which hints that the film might beat Dangal in the coming days as well.
According to the critics, the goodwill of Dangal and PK has benefitted the collection of Secret Superstar. It is being expected that the film is sure to rake in larger sums in the future.
Taran Adarsh Adarsh added, “The tremendous goodwill that Dangal – and prior to that PK – created in China has benefited Secret Superstar. Although Aamir has an extended special appearance in Secret Superstar, Aamir’s star pull is at the peak in China. Expect magical numbers yet again!”
