KARACHI: Quetta Gladiators outplayed Peshawar Zalmi by 10 runs in the Qualifier round on Wednesday to reach the final of Pakistan Super League 4 which would be played on March 17  (Sunday).

The game  once turned in favour of Peshawar Zalmi  as Quetta Gladiators were hampered by the unavailability of Fawad Ahmed through the death overs after he was injured by a blistering straight drive from Imam-ul-Haq that hit him flush in the face, needing hospitalisation.

Fawad Ahmad's participation in the final game seems to be  doubtful as he reportedly  went through dental surgery after being

In absence of Fawad Ahmed, Srarfraz decided to use  Shane Watson who, despite not having bowled in the tournament, remarkably performed with ball also in the final over  taking the two most important wickets and breaking the partnership of Kieron Pollard and Darren Sammy back-to-back to  secure Quetta a berth in the final.

Shane Watson shined with bat and ball to put Quetta Gladiators in the final.

Pakistan-born Fawad Ahmed  sought asylum in Australia. He never imagined the he would ever play with kangaroos in their national cricket team.
