ISLAMABAD: Spokesman to Prime Minister Nadeem Afzal Chan Thursday said Nawaz Sharif could take best medical treatment from any hospital of the country.
During the cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan directed to the Punjab government to provide quality treatment to the former prime minister and negligence would not be tolerated in that regard, he said talking to a private news channel.
He prayed to Allah Almighty for early health recovery of Nawaz Sharif and said that he had ruled for 30 years in the country and could now get treatment from any hospital, which had constructed during his regime.
Nadeem Afzal Chan said if Nawaz Sharif wanted to take treatment at London hospitals then he should file a petition in the court for taking permission to go abroad.
He said it was evidence of fact that best treatment had already been provided to Nawaz Sharif from medical board on his wishes, urged that nobody should do politics for point scoring on the matter.
He said the Sharif brothers were nabbed during the regime of Pervaiz Musharraf but being a democratic government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was determined to provide excellent medical treatment facilities to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader.
The spokesman urged the political parties to refrain from personal attacks on others for political gains.
