ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance Asad Umar on Monday said that the Hindus of Pakistan are considered part of Pakistan.
“Hindus of Pakistan are as much a part of the fabric of the nation as I am” he said in a tweet.
The minister went on to saying that Pakistan’s flag consists of both green and white, and the white represents the minorities.
The minorities are to be given the same respect and rights as any Muslim which was the basic struggle of Quaid-e-Azam, to have a country free of discrimination.
This tweet comes after Provincial Minister of Punjab for information and culture, Fayyaz ul Hasan Chohan’s derogatory remarks against Hindu citizens and their religion during a media address today.
