As hostility takes a rise across the border against Pakistan, it appears that Bollywood producers are looking to fuel conflicts even more as they venture out to capitalize over the present events by registering correlated warmongering film titles.
According to a report by Huffington Post India, offices of the Indian Motion Pictures’ Producers’ Association (IMMPA) in Mumbai are witnessing a bustle within producers more than ever as they join the race to register jingoistic titles to make films on in the future, like ‘Pulwama Attacks’, ‘Balakot’ and ‘Surgical Strikes 2.0’ and ‘Abhinandan’.
The report cites an official as saying: “After a point, they started discussing amongst themselves, suggesting variations of the same title.”
A report by magazine Complete Cinema further reveals that following the Pulwama attack that killed over 40 soldiers of the Indian army, the titles registered by Indian producers included: 'Pulwama Pulwama: The Surgical Strike', 'War Room, Hindustan Hamara Hai', 'Pulwama Terror Attack', 'The Attacks of Pulwama', 'With Love, From India', and 'ATS - One Man Show'.
