MUMBAI: Hindu extremists in India have demanded that tennis ace Sania Mirza must be removed as the brand ambassador for the state of Telangana after Pulwama attack.
BJP lawmaker in Telangana state, Raja Singh demanded that Sania Mirza, who is married to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, must be removed as the brand ambassador for the state of Telangana.
In the video being circulated on social media, extremist Raga Singh requested Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao “You must revoke your decision that made Sania Mirza the brand ambassador of Telangana immediately.”
He went on to say, “We don’t need to make a Pakistani daughter-in-law (Sania) our brand ambassador.”
Raja Singh, the only BJP MLA in the present Telangana Assembly, has been repeatedly accused of making controversial statements and speeches, particularly against Muslims.
