Refugee footballer Hakeem al-Araibi returns to Australia after Thai detention

MELBOURNE: Hakeem al-Araibi,  a refugee footballer,  has returned to Australia, the Professional Footballers Australia said on  Tuesday, ending a two-month ordeal that saw him jailed in Thailand and threatened with forced return to his native Bahrain.

The players´ organisation tweeted a picture of Araibi with former Socceroos captain Craig Foster stating "Hakeem is here!".
