Despite pathetic feedback, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ enters the 100 crore club

The film on the first day of its release made 50.75 crores at the box office. According to the report of Box Office India, the movie made 28.25 and 22.75 crores the 2nd day and 3rd day respectively and however, with the decline in business each day the movie has collectively made 101.75 crores.

Despite  negative reviews and criticisms, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ succeeded in securing its place in the list of movies that have entered the coveted 100 crores business club.

The film on the first day of its release made 50.75 crores at the box office. According to the report of Box Office India, the movie made 28.25 and 22.75 crores the 2nd day and 3rd day respectively and however, with the decline in business each day the movie has collectively made 101.75 crores.

Indian film trade analyst Taran Adarsh in his tweet predicted that the film will find it difficult to sustain at the box office after the weekend. He wrote, "The DOWNFALL continues... #ThugsOfHindostan gets weaker with each passing day... With biz declining further on Day 3 [Sat], the writing is clear on the wall... Will find it tough to sustain from Day 5 [Mon] onwards... #TOH"

Under the banner of Yash Raj Films, the movie starred Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan along with Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Sheikh. The movie is an adaptation of a book that is accused of having a boring story line. the multi-starrer film has failed to impress the critics. News18's review called it 'a solid case of great boast, little roast'.

Thugs of Hindostan is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and hit the cinemas on November 8.
