ISLAMABAD: PTI chairman Imran Khan left for Saudi Arabia on Monday to perform Umrah with his wife and a close friend.
Syed Zulfi Bukhari, a close aide of Imran Khan, was briefly stopped by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from traveling to Saudi Arabia.
An FIA source told Geo TV that Syed Zulfi Bukhari wasn’t allowed to board the plane as his name was on the exit control list (ECL).
Some media reports suggested that Bukhari was stopped for incomplete travel documents. "FIA officials are verifying his travel documents," a source added.
An hour later, Zulfi was allowed to accompany Imran Khan to Saudi Arabia after his name was taken off the no-flying list.
