Bollywood actor turned politician and wife of veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan has recently revealed her assets that could very easily put her atop the list of India’s richest parliamentarians.
The Samajwadi Party MP had filed her nomination for the Rajya Sabha polls as an SP candidate, which required her to affirm her assets. After her assertion of possessing assets worth Rs 1000 crore, she surpassed BJP MP Ravindra Kishore Sinha’s benchmark of Rs 800 crore, revealed in 2014, possibly making her the richest MP in India.
As per Indian media reports, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan have immovable assets worth Rs 460 crore with residential properties in France and Indian regions of Noida, Bhopal, Pune, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
The couple also owns 12 vehicles including Rolls-Royce, Mercedes, Porsche, Range Rover, Tata Nano and a tractor, along with various valuables that equal their movable assets to Rs 540 crore elevating it from Rs 343 crore in 2012.
