Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three youth and a woman in Handwara area of Kupwara district on Monday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the killings took place during a joint operation by Indian army, police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force in Younsu village of Handwara town.

Indian police claimed that the youth were killed during an encounter with the troops. A woman, identified as Misra Bano, was shot dead by troops in the same area.

The puppet authorities suspended mobile and Internet services in Sopore and Handwara areas of the district immediately after the killings.

Thousands of people while braving rains and cold weather participated in the funeral of the martyred woman in Handwara town. The mourners carried her body, which was wrapped in Pakistani flag, and marched through the village raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
