Lahore: London Mayor Sadiq Khan on Wednesday arrived in Pakistan on an official visit.
Mr Khan who arrived in India earlier this week entered Pakistan through Wagah Border.
He was received by Lahore Mayor Colonel (retd) Mubashir at the Wagah Border.
He is scheduled to spend three days in Pakistan and will travel to Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi.
Sadiq Khan is the first London's mayor to visit both India and Pakistan as he looks to promote closer ties between the two countries and the capitals.
Sadiq Khan had announced a six-day tour, visiting Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Mumbai, Delhi and Amritsar.
Talking to The News on December 2 Sadiq Khan said that British Pakistanis made London the greatest city in the world. “I want to spread the massage when I go to Pakistan and India,” he added.
Meeting with Punjab chief minister
The mayor of London and his delegation arrived at the Chief Minister House amid strict security where he was received by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Sharif hosted a luncheon for the guests and discussed issues of mutual interest during a meeting.
