ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court Chief Justice on Sunday took suo motu notice of killing of 20 people whose bodies were found abandoned in Balochistan’s Turbat area.
According to Geo News, Justice Saqib Nisar has sought a detailed report into the incident from Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Inspector General Balochistan within three days .
The chief justice is said to have remarked what measures were being taken to prevent such incidents from happening.
15 bodies were found in Baleda area of Turbt and five others in Tajban last week. The slain were identified as residents of different districts of Punjab who were trying to cross into Iran illegally in their bid to reach Europe.
Meanwhile, the FIA is said to have arrested three travel agents from Sialkot and Gujranwala involved in felicitating illegal travelling of four men killed in Turbat.
The military on Friday said the Frontier Crops has killed the terrorist involved in the massacre of 15 people.
According to army’s media wing, the ISPR, Younis Taukali was among top eight commanders of the banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF).
