ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly and Pakistan People’s Party stalwart, Syed Khursheed Shah has said that the issue of Indian spy Kulbhushan Yadav is Pakistan’s security matter and the Pakistani nation is to decide over it.

Talking to media persons on the International Court of Justice judgment on Yadav, here Friday, Khursheed Shah said the government should have sent attorney general to fight Pakistan's case as it is a matter of the national security.

“The way government handled case of Kulbhushan Yadav, shows its ineligibility,” Khursheed Shah regretted. It is a big setback for Pakistan, he said and added that it has increased our doubts.

He also criticized the government for concealing the visit of Indian steel tycoon Sajjan Jindal, saying that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should have fulfilled his responsibility.

Shal also demanded to bring Dawn leaks inquiry commission report in the parliament.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Thursday ordered Pakistan to stay the execution of Yadav convicted of spying.

Judges at the ICJ ruled in a unanimous and binding decision that Kulbhushan Sudhir Yadav must not be put to death by Islamabad until they have had time to pass the final judgement in the case.

Yadav was awarded death sentence by Field General Court Martial (FGCM) on charges of espionage.
