ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said bails of Dr Asim Hussain and super model Ayyan Ali are part of a deal between the ruling party and the Pakistan People’s Party, hours after The Sindh High Court approved the bail plea of former petroleum minster and a close aide of Asif Ali Zardari in a corruption case.
Talking to media, he also ruled out a possibility of an alliance between the PTI and the PPP. “Government struck a deal with PPP because it was scared of Panama Papers case.
He claimed that return of Asif Zardari and Sharjeel Memom to Pakistan was also part of the deal.
“Sharjeel Memom faces corruption case involving five billion rupees and Ayyan Ali is involved in money laundering of Rs50 million, “he said.
The PTI chairman claimed that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had already mentioned the deal in September last year.
Khan left the press conference after Aleem Khan, a senior leader of the PTI, labeled allegation against a journalist and tried to intimidate him along with his security guards.
