LAHORE: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) killed four suspected terrorists in a shootout in Manawan area of the metropolis, Geo News reported on Sunday.
The operation was carried out on a tip off regarding presence of the suspects accused of orchestrating attack on Sri Lankan cricket team in 2009 and and a bomb blast in Moon Market that killed over 50 people in 2008.
The suspects opened fire on CTD officials as they raided their hideout. Four suspects were killed and three others managed to flee in the ensuing shootout, Geo News correspondent said.
Laptops, prohibited literature and large cache of explosives were also seized during the raid. The dead were identified as Zubair, Abdul Wahab, Adnan and Atiqur Rehman
