Meghan Markle asked tell-tale question: ‘Who needs more who?’
Meghan Markle has not been spared As Ever critique this month either because the biggest question comes to light
With As Ever garnering more shock than critical acclaim in the eyes of the media, an author has just come forward to pen a piece for the Daily Express where she highlighted this discrepancy and even posed the question, ‘who needs who more, the Sussexes or the Palace’.
The writer in question is Alicia Liberty and she believes, “If popularity continues to cool and commercial ventures fail to deliver the success once promised, questions will inevitably be asked about whether the Sussexes need the Royal Family far more than the Royal Family needs them. The prospect of a return may once have seemed unthinkable, but it looks considerably less far-fetched when viewed through that lens.”
She also admitted, “that is the uncomfortable truth at the heart of Meghan Markle’s post-royal journey. For all the talk of independence, reinvention and new beginnings, the biggest challenge remains the same as it was on day one.”
Near the end she also signed off by reiterating this harsh truth that the Sussexes seems to be navigating and admitted, “building a global brand that is powerful enough to stand entirely on its own. So far, the evidence suggests that is proving far harder than anyone expected.”
