Football stadium turns mourning ground, after manager dies mid-match

Heartbreaking visuals show how a playing football stadium turned into a mourning ground after the manager died during a match on Monday, November 3, 2025.

Serbian football team players can be seen crying on the ground after their manager, Mladen Zizovic, died during live match.

Zizovic died at the age of 44 after suffering from a heart attack and collapsing on the sidelines, just as the match entered the 22nd minute of the game.

Paramedics present at the football stadium immediately rushed to his attention and transported him to hospital, but sadly could not save his life.

His death was comfirmed by Serbian Super League.

“The football community in Serbia was deeply shaken by the news that the head coach of Radnicki 1923, Mladen Zizovic passed away after falling ill during the match of the 14th round of the Mozzart Bet Super League, which was played in Lucani between his club and the local team Mladost.”

The match was suspended and the stadium was filled with silence as players, staff and fans left in shock over the sudden demise of Zizovic.

Radnicki later issued a statement expressing their “deep pain and disbelief” over Zizovic’s death.

“A man who left a deep mark wherever he worked with his knowledge, calmness and nobility, ”said the club.

Serbian top-flight club Radnicki 1923 manager Zizovic was taking charge of his third game following his appointment on October 23, 2025, after being retired from his playing career in 2016.
