It has been over 24 hours since the unknown assassin shot and murdered 31-year-old conservative Charlie Kirk, and the FBI manhunt mission continues to apprehend the assassin.

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, the FBI held a press conference and gave an update on the manhunt mission for Charlie Kirk's murderer; they showed footage of the attacker, who was seen in the video jumping from the rooftop and fleeing into the woods.

The FBI announced prize money of $100k for the "person of interest".

The law enforcement officials have recovered a "high-tech bolt-action rifle” that they believe was used in the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

The FBI Special Agent In Charge Robert Bohls told reporters that “the rifle was recovered in a wooded area where the shooter had fled, and the FBI laboratory will be analysing this weapon.”

Bohls added further, the investigators have also “collected footwear impressions,” as well as “a palm print and forearm imprints.”

Authorities believe that the shooter fired from the rooftop of Utah Valley University's Losee Center, roughly 150 yards from where Charlie Kirk was addressing the crowd.

The FBI later, Thursday morning, posted on X some images of a “person of interest,” asking for the public's support to help identify the individual, and the agency is offering up to $100,000 for the lead that can help capture the killer of Charlie Kirk.

On the other hand, President Donald Trump had announced a Presidential Medal of Freedom award for the late Charlie Kirk.

“Charlie was a giant of his generation and a champion of liberty and an inspiration to millions and millions of people,” Trump said while speaking at a 9/11 memorial ceremony.

Charlie Kirk left behind his wife, Erika Lane Kirk, and two young children.
