PUBG Mobile 4.0 update, featuring the Halloween-themed ‘Spooky Soiree’ event, will launch on Thursday, September 4, 2025. The update introduces a lot of new content, including weapon changes, a new game mode, and a significant game improvement.
To download the update, go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, find PUBG Mobile, and click on the “Update” button. The other method is to manually install the APK and OBB files from a reliable third-party source.
The Spooky Soiree-themed mode is the main event of the update and is available on the classic maps of Rondo, Erangel, and Livik. The centrepiece is the interactive and mysterious haunted house “Wraithmoor Mansion” filled with valuable loot, secrets, and puzzles.
The key features of this mode are Ghostie & Prankster Ghost, Magic Broom, and performing dead concerts.
A new asymmetric PvP mode, “Unfail”, will launch on September 26. It is a 1 vs 4 survival horror-inspired mode. One player is the “Predator” who has a goal to eliminate at least three of the four “survivors.”
The third update is a major classic mode. The core battle royale experience is also getting some significant changes to improve realism and gameplay. The changes include: a new mortar weapon, realistic reloading, and map expansion.
PUBG Mobile is officially launching the ‘World of Wonder’ in the full 1.0 version. This allows players to use a variety of objects and tools, including the new ghost abilities and the Magic Broom, to create their own custom game maps and experiences.
The new season, Cycle 9 Season 26 (C9S26), and the A15 Royale Pass are set to begin on September 11. This pass is Halloween-themed, offering rewards that blend “playful trick and terrifying threat.”
