Rape victim files Rs 10 crore suit against Salman Khan

CHANDIGARH: A gang-rape victim filed a suit of Rs 10 crore against Bollywood actor Salman Khan for belittling rape victims.

According to details, a gang-rape victim from Haryana sent the Bollywood superstar sent the legal notice to Salman Khan for his rape remarks from a couple of days ago. The legal notice sought an apology from Salman Khan for stating that hr felt like a 'raped woman' after his grueling training sessions for Sultan.

The rape victim who has filed the suit against Salman Khan was kidnapped by ten men and gang-raped in Hisar four years ago. Following her rape, her father committed suicide. She is currently seeking death penalty against the suspects accused of subjecting her to gang-rape.

Salman Khan's statement had invoked fury and anger, especially on micro-blogging site Twitter. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan superstar's father Salim Khan had also apologized for his son's remarks and stated that they had been made in bad taste, though his intentions were not as such.

So far Salman has remained quite about the issue and not said much about it. The actor recently said at a press conference ahead of the IIFA Awards 2016, when the actor said that he would speak less nowadays since he got into trouble if he spoke more. 

Earlier, actress Kangana Ranaut had also criticized Salman and said that the statement was horrible and insensitive for women.
