Selena Gomez shares video of goddaughter cheering her on at 2024 Emmys

Selena Gomez was all smiles on Sunday, September 15, as she shared Instagram Stories clip of her goddaughter cheering her on during the 76th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. 

In the video, the adorable little girl can be heard shouting "Tia, tia" and jumping for joy while watching the Emmys on TV, celebrating her nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Though Jean Smart ultimately took home the award for her role in Hacks, Gomez found a special moment of joy in the sweet footage. 

"My goddaughter made my night … I’m also Tia by the way," Gomez captioned the post, revealing the touching reason behind the clip. 

The term "Tia," meaning "Aunt" in Spanish, highlights the close bond between the actress and her young supporter.

Selena has reignited engagement rumors after she was spotted wearing a sparkling ring on her left fourth finger at the Emmy Awards on Sunday. 

The Only Murders in the Building star was seen donning a silver band, fueling speculation that her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, may have proposed.

Gomez first sparked engagement buzz last month when she shared a selfie with her ring finger strategically hidden beneath a heart emoji. 

At the Emmy Awards, the Rare Beauty founder appeared to continue concealing the potential engagement, often keeping her left hand out of view in photos taken throughout the evening.

The singer was all smiles as she sat on boyfriend Benny Blanco’s knee during a tender moment at the Emmy Awards, with the record producer pouting at her before planting a kiss on her cheek.
