PESHAWAR: No casualty was reported when an armoured personnel carrier (APC) of the Peshawar Police came under a bomb attack on Frontier Road in Mattani on Saturday.
The police said an improvised explosive device planted on the Frontier Road near Aziz Market went off near the APC of the police. The blast slightly damaged the vehicle but did not cause any casualty. Meanwhile, the police carried out a search operation in the area and claimed to have arrested around 10 militants involved in various attacks. A source said that the arrested ones included those who had shot dead a leader of the Awami National Party Mian Mushtaq a few months ago. The attackers had also destroyed his hujra.
