Music reality show ‘Pakistan Idol’ starts on Geo Entertainment today

KARACHI: December 6 is going to be a watershed in the history of music in Pakistan, as internationally renowned channel Geo Entertainment will start airing the biggest music reality-show of the country, ‘Pakistan Idol’ tonight (Friday) at 09:00pm.
The viewers can watch this music show on Fridays and Sundays.This is not only a reality show but the beginning of an interesting journey that will have many turning points; the life of those who reach its end point, will be revolutionised.
From the day Geo announced the contest, youths showed their huge participation in its auditions. During the auditions, the judges assessed talent of the participants, aged between 15 to 30 years, and those who performed well were included in the music-stream.
‘Pakistan Idol’ is the forum which has provided a golden opportunity to each and every Pakistani to win the hearts of the masses by showing their musical talent and in the way realise their destiny.
Mohib Mirza will host the show. The three judges of the contest do not require any formal introduction. They include Bushra Ansari, who has a craze for music and has demonstrated the virtue of her singing many times, in addition to the much-liked, versatile female singer, Hadiqa Kiani, who has sung in various languages and numerous styles, and last but not least, the pop musician Ali Azmat, who has caught the attention of many music fans.
Not only Pakistani viewers but those from across the world are dying to see the music reality show which will be crowded by many melodious voices from the country.
The judges say that they are in the quest for a versatile singing talent. One of the judges, Ali Azmat, said that he was in search of a singer capable of proving his/her musical talent in every genre of music. Bushra Ansari remarked that she was after a beautiful and melodious voice that could stand out as ‘Pakistan Idol’ justifying the stature of the title.
On the other hand, Hadiqa Kiani said that she

was looking for a complete package of a singer that can be easily named as the star with a heart-touching voice.The keen interest of the youth in ‘Pakistan Idol’ has now reached the zenith. The heart of every young Pakistani is proclaiming, ‘Pakistan Idol: the voice of the heart.’
