Kerry discusses LoC situation with Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: US Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday telephoned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed with him the situation on the Line of Control (LoC) with special reference to recent violations by India, a private TV channel reported.
He also assured Nawaz Sharif of Washington’s support for the war on terror.
Kerry also discussed the regional situation and menace of terrorism with Nawaz Sharif. He reaffirmed the importance of Pakistan-US bilateral relations for enduring peace and stability in the region. The top US diplomat assured the Pakistani prime minister of Washington’s support in its war on terror. The US secretary of state also invited Nawaz Sharif for visiting the US on the behalf of US president.The US Secretary of State also discussed the upcoming visit of Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai to Pakistan.
