LAHORE: Protests against killing of PTI activist from Karachi Zahra Shahid Hussein continued on Wednesday and party women workers from Lahore staged demonstrations in different parts of the city.
A demonstration was staged in the area of Gulberg which was attended by a number of PTI women workers from Lahore, led by central vice president Dr Seemi Bokhari. Women wing Punjab president Saloni Bokhari demanded stern punishment for the culprits of the crime.
The participants in the demonstration chanted slogans against MQM and all the elements behind the terrorist activities in Karachi. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Seemi Bokhari said that PTI was a peaceful political force and it had been struggling for last 17 years for the country and empowering people. She said that the wave of terrorism had affected thousands of families and the PTI workers were also being harassed in different parts of the country. However, she said, the party was not afraid of such tactics and would continue struggling under the leadership of Imran Khan.
