Two FC men, 13 criminals killed in Sibi encounter

QUETTA: Two Frontier Corps’ personnel and 13 criminals were killed in an exchange of fire in the Bhag area of Sibi District on Sunday.
The FC spokesman said that acting on a tip-off that some wanted persons in several cases were present in a house in the Bhag area, FC teams conducted raid at the site.“An exchange of fire took place between FC personnel and armed men, in which two FC personnel were martyred, one was injured and 13 criminals also killed,” the spokesman said.
The head money on one of the dead criminals was Rs six million, he said.The injured FC man was shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Quetta. The FC also recovered weapons and ammunition from the house, including one G-3 Rifle, four Kalashnikovs, one shot gun, one 7-MM rifle and 2,000 live cartridges.
Later, the hideout was handed over to the Sibi deputy commissioner for legal formalities.IG FC Major General Obaidullah Khan while paying rich tributes to the martyred FC personnel said that the FC would continue rendering sacrifices for restoration of law and order in Balochistan, the spokesman said.
