ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will give India the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status next week.Well-placed sources in the federal government told The News that the negative list would also be eliminated with the grant of the MFN status to India. However, the sources said, some sensitive items would be excluded from the list. The sources said India was to get the MFN status by Dec 31, 2012 but the talks of the Ministry of Trade with different stakeholders to remove their apprehensions continued during last week. The sources further said that important decisions on both taxable and non-taxable restrictions were expected on Jan 9.
