SUKKUR/GARHI KHUDA BUKHSH: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira on Thursday said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was a born leader like his mother and grand father, and now he had joined the practical politics after completion of his studies.

Talking to media persons‚ Kaira said that Bilawal in his historic address touched all the challenges being faced by the country and the entire region.

He said Bilawal renewed the pledge that the party would continue the mission of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.

He said that Bilawal had challenged the terrorists and extremist elements like his mother and gave them a clear message that the PPP would continue its fight against that mindset.

He said that the rally was historic and the attendance was overwhelming as the workers came there to pay tributes to the party’s martyrs.

Kaira said that in Bilawal’s speech, there was a glimpse of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto and a “Jiyala” of the party.

The minister said that during past four and a half years, the PPP tried to strengthen the federation by restoring the Constitution and devolving powers to the provinces but still a lot was needed to be done.

Kaira said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had only demanded from the superior courts to take up reference filed on judicial murder of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and expedite the trial of accused involved in assassination of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

“His speech also reflected the sentiments of the party workers who want that the killers of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto should be brought to justice as soon as possible and injustice done to Shaheed Zulfikar Ali should be rectified,” he added. To a question, he said that leaders are born and nobody could install or launch anyone as political leader.

He said that Bilawal also gave the message that the PPP wanted to take all political forces along in making the country a true democratic state. He revealed that one of Benazir Bhutto’s suspected killers was killed in a drone strike whereas the remaining accused were languishing in jail. He said only Parliament and political forces had the powers to take political and administrative decisions.

Moreover, he said that they wanted to solve country’s problem through dialogues. “We always welcome the parties that want to do politics according to the Constitution. We will not support those‚ who want to impose their agenda through force”, he said. He said during the last four and a half years‚ the PPP-led government faced many internal and external challenges‚ including terrorism‚ law and order and energy crisis but it made best efforts to overcome the situation.

About the government’s achievements‚ the minister said the PPP had brought all the political forces at one platform and freed Swat and Malakand from the clutches of terrorists with the help of the armed forces.
