Islamabad: Mobeen Ansari’s ‘Dharkan - Heartbeat of a Nation’ was launched here on Sunday, says a press release.
During the book launching ceremony, Mobeen Ansari, a photojournalist, expressed that photojournalism is distinguished from other similar branches of photography e.g., documentary photography, social documentary photography, street photography or celebrity photography by complying with a rigid ethical framework, which demands that the work is both honest and impartial, whilst telling the story in strictly journalistic terms. Photojournalists create pictures that contribute to the news media.
This he implements through his photography which is an eclectic mix of dramatic sceneries, cityscapes and his amazing portraiture of people from all walks of life in Pakistan. He travelled all parts of Pakistan from the mountains to the deserts, cities, villages, mountains and valleys. He has portrayed mysterious images of the people and places which enabled him to promote a positive image of Pakistan and Pakistanis. The book lunching ceremony was attended by many people from all walks of life.
