The Lahore Stock Exchange remained under the grip of bulls on Thursday, as the LSE-25 index increased by 78 points to close at 5,139 points, dealers said.
Trading volumes were more than double the volumes achieved on the last trading day. Of the 100 companies that were traded during the day, 34 companies managed to gain value, 13 suffered losses, while there was no change in the value of 53 companies. The trading volume was 3.56 million shares as compared to 1.59 million trades recorded on the last trading day. Summit Bank was the volume leader with the trading volumes of 1.48 million shares. MCB Bank was the largest gainer, adding Rs9.39 in its share price to close at Rs245.39.
Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited was the major loser, recording a loss of Rs1.69 per share to close at Rs32.85.
