MQM chief greets Hindu community on Holi

March 26, 2013

Karachi
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain congratulated the Hindu community on Saturday on the festival of Holi beginning on Tuesday night.
In his felicitation message, he said it was the policy of his party to share grief, sorrow and happiness of everyone irrespective of their caste, colour, religion and sect. “The world can be made peaceful by showing respect to the religious festivals of each other.”
Hussain said the MQM believed in religious harmony, and it was because of its relentless struggle for promoting goodwill among the followers of different religions that a large number of Hindus were part of the party. He appealed to the Hindu community to offer special prayers for peace and religious harmony in the country during Holi celebrations.
